Dr Ratheesh with his expertise in digital health has founded his own Private GP telemedicine clinic which he has named DRGP which is launched this Summer 2023.
UNIVERSITY
He completed his medical degree at University College London in 2011. He played for UCL RUMS Cricket first team and was a keen dancer, performing in various shows.
GP TRAINING
He trained as a GP at the East Sussex Vocational training scheme. He worked at Conquest hospital in Hastings, Eastbourne District general hospital, The Irvine unit at Bexhill hospital, Woodlands Psychiatric unit and Churchwood medical practice.
Dr Ratheesh is currently working as a GP at St Leonard's, East Sussex.
Dr Ratheesh has worked as a GP in Hastings, Bexhill, Eastbourne, Croydon, Purley and Bromley but decided to settle in Hastings where he trained.
He was a co-opted member of the Local Medical Committee (LMC) for East Sussex.
He also worked for the Clinical Commissioning group in Hastings and Rothers on 3 projects.
The first was in Medicines Management, then as an advisor for workforce planning and recruitment. His last role for the CCG was as Digital support in Primary care, helping to implement new digital technology in East Sussex primary care services.
He is still an assessor for the NHS innovation accelerator programme, helping to appoint fellows and innovations that will have a positive impact on the future technologies used in the NHS. He has a keen interest in Digital health technology. He has had this role for over 3 years.
Dr Ratheesh has gained experience across various disciplines during his GP training including psychiatry, obstetrics and gynaecology, care of the elderly, paediatrics, emergency medicine, and cardiology. He has also worked in various Walk in centres as a GP providing acute care.
Dr Ratheesh was one of the grass root campaigners in the first Junior doctors strike in 2016.
Dr Ratheesh conducted 4 national surveys of doctors and medical students in 2015 and 2016.
The first survey had over 4400 responses and another received over 4500.
Royal College of General Practitioners
He has been a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners Since 2016 until February 2024.
He then settled for a quieter life in Hastings and has built up an excellent reputation with his NHS patients in Hastings and St Leonards to become the number 1 most reviewed GP in the country.
